Volunteer on campus

McPherson asks every family to contribute ten volunteer hours each year. Anyone helping on campus—including in classrooms, at parties, or on field trips—must complete Orange Unified’s volunteer application and receive an approval email before volunteering.

Apply in English

Most volunteers serving five hours or less on campus should complete requirements 1 and 2 and select the “5 Hours or Less” application. Upload the required training screenshots or certificates, submit the full application, and wait for approval.

Contact the volunteer team for upcoming events with a clear date, task, and time commitment.

Ask about age requirements and whether an opportunity is suitable for your family before signing up.

Wait for your approval email

Completing the training alone does not approve you to volunteer. Submit the application and receive confirmation before coming to help on campus.

Have time or a skill to share?

Tell us what you enjoy, when you are generally available, and whether you prefer one-time events or an ongoing role. The volunteer team will help find a practical fit.
